Dear Families,

Thank you for another great spring baseball season!

The EBA will be accepting registrations for the 2010 fall ball season on July 28th  6:00-7:30 p.m. and August 1st 12:00-1:30 p.m. for players ages 9-14.  Age is determined by the 2011 playing age which is the age of child as of April 30, 2011.  Registration will be on-site only at the Ephrata Baseball Academy which is located at 300 Chestnut Street (the corner of Park Avenue and Chestnut Street).  Please use the Park Avenue entrance by the tractor trailer port.  Registration forms will be available on registration days or print out the attached form and bring it to registration.  Sponsorship forms will also be available at registration.  We are always looking for sponsors for all seasons.

Games are scheduled for Saturdays from September to October throughout northern Lancaster County.  Practices are scheduled by the managers.  The registration fee will be $55.00 per player with a family maximum of $125.00.

The Ephrata Baseball Association also needs various volunteers on the board and to facilitate committees, as well as managers and coaches for the fall ball season.  Presently there are 7 board volunteers who complete all the work for the entire association in hopes of maintaining the integrity of EBA. The association needs to fulfill the following board positions.

*Rookie/Single A Director--A voting member of the board that can oversee this league and maintain communication with the managers; schedule practices

*Treasurer-- A voting member of the board.  This volunteer needs to have accounting or bookkeeping experience.

*Friends of EBA Director--A voting member of the board who can oversee all functions and events of EBA, such as opening day, wiffleball tournament, fundraising and pictures.

The EBA board meets briefly on a monthly basis on the third Thursday at 7:00 p.m.  Anyone interested in any of these board positions should contact Sean Molchany at smolchany@dejazzd.com.

The EBA also needs volunteers as committee chairpersons as well as volunteers to serve on the following committees.

*Fundraising --including sub sale; pictures; clothing orders.

*Sponsorship--obtaining and maintaining sponsors for the EBA.  The more sponsors we get, the less the  registration fees are set!

*Events Chairperson-- opening day; wiffle ball tournament; championship Saturday; coaches select games.

*Website--a volunteer to maintain the EBA website.

*Publicity-- placing announcements in the newspaper; communication to the newspapers regarding EBA events.

If you can help in any way with any of these committees, please contact Sean Molchany at smolchany@dejazzd.com or note your willingness to volunteer on the registration sheet.  Your willingness to volunteer is greatly appreciated.

Lastly, any player that has not returned his/her uniform pants and belt to coaches, please return them to the baseball academy during fall ball registration on either July 28th or August 1st.

Thank You,

Sean P. Molchany
President EBA
