17th Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament Wraps Up Record-Breaking Weekend

 The Ephrata High School Baseball Program and Ephrata Baseball Association would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the 2010 Ephrata Invitational Wiffle Ball Tournament our biggest success in the tourney's 17-year history.  Not only did we surpass our team participation total; we shattered records in attendance, concession sales, and merchandise sales, making this year's event the most successful fundraiser ever. 

Special thanks goes to the Ephrata Area School District for allowing us to once again host the event, the Ephrata Middle School custodial and food services staff for their set-up, assistance, and clean-up efforts, and all of the volunteers (baseball players and their parents) who umpired, kept score, ran concessions and helped organize the two-day event.  We would also like to thank Dairy Queen of Ephrata for once again sponsoring the Dairy Queen Dinger Derby.  I'd also like to publicly recognize our circuit commissioners, Fred Geyer and Eric Martin, who spent many hours volunteering behind the scenes to coordinate the three brackets for our 39 teams to participate in what proved to be a very organized, and smooth running event.  Lastly, we would like to thank the spectators and participants for a tremendous weekend.  We feel very fortunate to have the generous support and cooperation from so many members of our community.

EBA to offer Baseball 101 Clinics

The Ephrata Baseball Association will be offering Baseball 101Clinics for the following age groups:  

February 27th, 28th, and March 7th from 1:00-2:30 PM
Ages 5-6 and first-year 7-year olds on . This clinic is geared toward children entering, or in, their second year of tee-ball

February 27th, 28th and March 7th from 3:00-4:30 PM
Ages 7-10 that have not played in Double A or Triple A divisions
 This clinic is geared for children entering Single A or Double A for the first time

These are three day clinics that will be offered at a fee of $25.00 per registrant.  Class space is limited to 25 children per class.  Classes will be fill on a first come first serve basis.

EBA to offer Catchers' Clinics

The Ephrata Baseball Association will be offering Catchers' Clinics for children ages 8-12.
March 20th, 21st and 28th from 1:00-2:30 PM

This is a three day clinic that will be offered for a fee of $25.00 per registrant.
