PROFESSIONAL PITCHING LESSONS
with Eric Ackerman, Lancaster Barnstormers

The Goal: For the athlete/pitcher to have a clear understanding and execution of the overall expectations of a complete pitcher physically, mentally, and mechanically.

The Instructor: Eric Ackerman is a graduate of Cocalico High School where he played Baseball (left-handed pitcher/outfielder) and Football (quarterback/safety). He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Psychology and played 4 years for the Panthers baseball team. Before getting drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2002, Eric found his way into the Panthers record books in 8 different single-season and career statistical categories. Eric played 3 ½ years in the Kansas City Royals farm system from 2002-2005 where he was a starter and reliever, topping out at the Advanced-A level for 2 productive seasons, along with being instructed by many big-league veterans.

Eric has played 2 full seasons with the Lancaster Barnstormers serving as a reliever and spot-starter. Last off-season, Eric was the head pitching coach for the PITT Panthers, Division 1 baseball program in the Big East Conference. This off-season, Eric is working to get a pitching job in organized baseball once again to follow his life-long dream of playing in the big leagues. Eric has 5+ years of experience with one-on-one pitching instruction with kids of all age/skill levels.

Location/Times: EBA Baseball Facility, Ephrata, PA.
Monday thru Friday 6p.m.-9p.m. Weekend availability limited.

Single Sessions:    1 Hour Session    $45
                            -breakdown of mechanics/grips      -pick-offs and mental training
                            -problem targeted drill-work          -extensive mound-work to a catcher
                            -weekly long toss program
